Organic Farming
Indonesia is a country which the most of people are working as a farmer. Farming was carried out by people through traditional and organic way in past time. Then it was change since there are many kinds of modern tools and many chemicals fertilizer that can be used to increase the crop.
The using of modern tool can make farming easier than before. Panting and harvesting can be done easier. Farmer didn’t need to use buffalo to plough the land. They don’t need to drop the stick to drop the rice etc.
As the using of modern tool, the using of chemical fertilizer also help farmer to increase the crops. Farmer can get double crop by using the chemical fertilizer.
The using of fertilizer has good result for farmer, but this is won’t be exist for long time. It is caused by the using of chemical fertilizer continually can make a change to the land structure. The land will be infertile. And of course the crop that produced consisted of chemical.
Some farmers have realized that the using of chemical fertilizer continually has bad effect for the next generation. They will find their land has been infertile. And surely the producing of food will be decrease. That is why they begin to farming with natural fertilizer. They make the natural fertilizer from foodstuff, foliage and their animal’s waste.
To day most of farmers still doubt to the crop that produced if they use organic fertilizer. But it will change that the using of organic will be safer for next time and if they know that to make organic fertilizer is not as as difficult as they imagine. Here steps to make organic fertilizer from animal’s waste
- Prepare cow’s or buffalo’s waste that has been saved for 3 weeks, sawdust 10 %, a camp 10 %, and kalsit 2.5 % and stardek 0,25 %
- Prepare 2 plastic box
- Make layer that arranged from saw dust, a camp, kalsit, animal waste, stardek, kalsit and a camp.
- Save for a week
- Move to second plastic box and then mix it.
- Save for a week
- Move to third box and then save again for a week
- You can use this fertilizer.
By using organic fertilizer it is mean that we safe our next generation.
