Solving Pain Coconut

Coconut is one of the commodities that produce in big number and it is consumed by most f people, for additional ingredients, Making cake and many other benefits that can be taken from coconut. But some times among farmers get problem in maintain coconut trees. It is included a bug and there is a kind of bugs that can radiate to the other plant quickly.

This is BPK that I adopted from Indonesian is disease that can radiate to the other trees by following wind and is brought by insect. Indication of this disease are : desiccated of leaves around the coconut then top of coconut will putrid and then it will drop before harvesting tie, it is 3-4 weeks.

There are some ways to solving this disease. They are culture technique, sanitised, burning, chemical and felling. Culture technique can be done by making ditch between trees. Its aim is to avoid over watering when rain fall down. It can be way for water to flow to the other place . it is carried out because of BPK comes when rain season and it bring more water for coconut tree. When harvesting time burn all of coconut fruit to be burned.

Then chemical technique can be injection to the root of coconut tree, stem injection or spouting chemical. Root injection is technique that usually done for young trees meanwhile stem injection done for coconut tree in producing period. These injection are done by using fungisida sistemic. We can do this technique with dosage 40-60ml/tree every six month. I also can be applied for all of trees around pain tree and can be done after harvesting time. This technique will be done more often when there is booming pain. we can give injection every 2 months.

Then to do root injection we have to choose a root that has 1 cm diameter then cut it in the end of the root. Put it into plastic that has been fulled by chemical then bunch the top of plastic. Meanwhile to do stem injection we can making holes with 1 cm in deep and 1,5 in diameter. It made on the tree wit 1 meter from soil. Then inject it with chemical then stanch the hole.Spouting technique can be done by using spouter and the we use fungisida sistemic for stop disease for tree that has falling fruit.

Actually this way has done by some country in the word to get the quality of farming. They are Bolivia, Nicaragua, Bangladesh, USA and many others. They built a clinic that service farmers in order to get better way or do an examination to symptoms in a plant. It is hoped there are much improvement that gotten by farmers who live far away from farming board.

Utilization of Straw for Biofuel

Straw can be found in many farming area in Indonesia. There are some profits that can be taken from straw. Some farmers use it for feeding their animal such cow, buffalo and the others. It also can be used for planting oysters fungus which instead of sawdust. Some months ago was found a new profit that can be taken from straw which less in use.

It can be used to create biofuel which has became solution for people as the respect of the fuel extinct in word. Acting as the discoverer was Xiujin Li from Beijing Chemistry technology University. ” all of steps are done in room temperature, without addition energy, little of water to get simple, quick, cheap and safe for environment”. Actually in producing process also create carbondioksida but it is not as much as straw burning. It also create scrap that can be used for compost fertilizer.

China is a country that has more than 230 tons of straw which less of usage. Till now China has been developing three technology that used to convert straw become biofuel. Straw in China is used to produce biofuel in gas form. It has been trained and the result was the improvement of methan and carbon dioksida till 65 %.

In 30 countries, the producing of Biofuel has been done but the material that used is foodstuff. Of course it is not exactly true

Tips Penggunaan Pestisida

Usaha untuk kembali ke pertanian yang dilakukan secara alami sebenarnya sudah dilakukan sejak tahun 90-an. Para petani in sadar akan bahayanya penggunaan pestisida terhadap hasil panen yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Namun penolakan untuk tidak menggunakan pestisida masih dilakukan oleh sebagian besar petani. Jika demikian maka penggunaan pestida haruslah dilakukan dengan seksama untuk menghindari pencemaran pencemaran lingkungan yang berlebihan. 1. Ketahuilah atau pahamilah dengan yakin tentang kegunaan
suatu jenis pestisida. Jangan sampai terjadi salah berantas.
Misalnya herbisida jangan digunakan untuk membasmi
serangga. Hasilnya, serangga yang dimaksud belum
tentu mati, sedangkan tanah atau tanaman telah
terlanjur tercemar.
2. Ikuti petunjuk – petunjuk mengenai aturan pakai dan
dosis yang dianjurkan pabrik atau petugas
penyuluh.
3. Jangan terlalu tergesa – gesa menggunakan
pestisida. Tanyakan kepada penyuluh apakah
sudah saatnya digunakan pestisida, karena
belum tentu suatu jenis hama harus diberantas dengan
pestisida.
4. Jangan telat memberantas hama. Jika penyuluh sudah
menganjurkan untuk menggunakan pestisida, cepatlah
dilakukan. Dengan semakin meluasnya hama akan
membutuhkan penggunaan pestisida dalam jumlah
besar, yang berarti hanya akan memperbesar peluang
terjadinya pencemaran.
5. Jangan salah pakai pestisida. Selain satu jenis
pestisida biasanya hanya digunakan untuk suatu jenis
hama tertentu, terkadang usia tanaman yang berbeda
menghendaki jenis pestisida yang berbeda pula.
6. Pahamilah dengan baik cara pemakaian
pestisida. Jangan sampai tercecer di sekitar
tanaman.
7. Jika pestisida yang akan digunakan harus
dibuat larutan terlebih dahulu, gunakan tempat
yang khusus untuk itu.Pada waktu mengaduk,
larutan jangan sampai tercecer ke tempat lain. Perhatikan
dengan tepat jumlah larutan yang dibuat

FAO Appreciation For Indonesia

When many other countries that get crisis or food, Indonesia stated as country that has unlisted as less food country. Indonesia supply 36 % for world need of rice. Many leader of the countries admit it and proud Indonesia. In FAO conference which was hold in Roma, Indonesia asked by Madagaskar president to send farming expert to make Madagaskar get increase in fulfill the need of food for people.

Meanwhile in Andalas University West of Sumatera, PTS program which is adapted from SRI program in Madagaskar was done. This program has known get success in increase the crop. From the experiment that has implemented to 1000 fields in West Sumatera and for each hectare get increase 2 tons of rice.

By this way, West Sumatera believe that it can give more contribution in supply rice for country. It is also planned to be socialized to the other group of farming and it is hopped to get more result in fulfill the need of food.

Future Farming Business Oppurtunity

The knowing of the danger of chemical material in farming make many people doubt with the quality with their food which they consume every day. The use of chemical in farming is focused on the increase of number of crops to fulfill people need of food and also to minimize harvesting time. Peanute Cuticle Stringer Machine

We have to admit that by using technology we can get more crop than we use traditional way in farming. We have realize this for long time, also by farmers. But the technology which expensive enough for farmer make their farming is not optimal.

This is also happen to peanut farmer. They get difficult to find good seed to be planted for 100% can grow up. They doubt about the quality of peanut seed that sold in the shop as they found many seeds did not grow up frequently. That is why they pare their peanuts to get good seed. But the other problem is it need long time to pare the peanuts.

For this reason why a vocational high school teacher, Anang Sucipto, creats a simple technology that can be used for farmer in getting best seeds to be planted. actually this machine was a modification of factory machine which was minimize and some parts of the machine were changed.

The modification was done in the stringer which in factory machine use iron stick. This was changed with the other form, it was bumps. With bumps form it can avoid the peanuts seed to be broken when the pare process happen in pare room then seeds will not grow when they were planted. Meanwhile if the stringer was made in bumps form it will give more room for peanut seed when pare process and this is make difference between factory machine and Anang’s Machine.

With low price and low cost in operation many farmers has use this machine and the can see the result the strength of peanut seeds broken was lower than peanut seeds that were gotten from  farming shop. This machine also become the first winner of the Contest of Simple Technology that was held in POLITEKNIK Malang some months ago.
